Laser Pigmentation

Pigmentation affects many people. Although some pigmentation is present from birth, the majority is caused by sun damage and hormones.

Typically found on the face, shoulders and other exposed parts of the body, benign pigmented lesions include everything fron bluish/purplish, black or otherwise discoloured spots to freckles and sun-damaged skin areas.

If more than one treatment is nessersary, they are spaced at 4-6 week intervals. You will be able to resume to normal activities without restriction immediately.

Laser Machine:

Serenity Skin Care Clinic offer offer an effective treatment for unwanted skin pigmentation with our remarkable cosmetic laser system from Cynosure.

The Elite+ laser uses the Alexandrite wavelength, the technique uses two rapid pulses targeting the specific lesion. Lesions typically become raised and darker immediately and flake off the skin in 10 days leaving no scar though healing may take upto 2 weeks.

How does laser treatment work?

The Alexandrite Laser wavelength reduces or eliminates the appearance of unwanted pigment in the skin by using light to target the pigmented area and break it up. While some areas respond with just one treatment, other areas may require multiple treatments over several visits. When multiple treatments are required, significant improvement should be noted with each visit.

Alexandrite Laser

The Alex wave legnth emits heat safely onto the skin where it targets excess melanin and breaks it down.
